We are delighted to announce that the Dean of Newcastle Business School, Prof Paul Croney, has been elected as Vice Chair of the Association of Business Schools

The Association of Business Schools
is the representative body and authoritative voice for all the leading business schools of UK universities, higher education institutions and independent management colleges.

It operates as an effective and independent network organisation for its members and works broadly in three areas:

  • Policy Development
  • Promotion and Representation
  • Training and Development Programmes

ABS works with similar organisations in Europe and around the world to influence those who have an involvement or interest in business and management education. It is a member of The European Quality Link (EQUAL) - the international association of quality assessment and accreditation agencies in the field of European management education at the Brussels-based European Foundation for Management Development (Efmd).

ABS has a strategic partnership with the Higher Education Academy subject centre for Business, Management, Accountancy and Finance, BMAF.  Joint activities include surveys of business school deans and round table meetings with professional bodies to facilitate dialogue on accreditation.
