Dr Dilek Demirbas, Reader
Strategic Management and International Business

Dilek joined NBS in 2001 after completing her PhD at Leicester University. Initially the Programme Leader for all economic joint degrees followed by Programme Coordinator for economics and modern languages, Dilek is currently Reader in the Strategic Management and International Business Subject Group. Dilek supevised a number of PhD students as a principal supervisor in the past and she is supervising another five PhD students at the moment.
Her main research interests are applied microeconometrics and macro econometrics, economic growth, technology and diffusion, environmental economics and sustainable development, SMEs and international businesses, political economy and public choice, and business ethics. She has also published widely in industry journals, book chapters and other important publications and attended high number of international conferences to present academic papers.
