Dr Sandra Corlett, Programme Director Research (PhD and DBA) Programmes

Following a career in management development training and consultancy, Sandra joined NBS in 1995 and was Programme Director Corporate and Management Development Programmes from 2004 to 2009. After achieving her PhD in 2009, Sandra became Programme Director Research Programmes within the Research portfolio. This role involves supporting the delivery of the School Research Strategy and leading the development, recruitment and delivery of the suite of NBS Research Degrees (PhD, DBA and DBL).
She has extensive experience of workshop delivery and action learning set facilitation, through her teaching in the areas of developing self, and leadership and management development. She is an accredited practitioner of the Insights Discovery System, and is a qualified manager development coach.
Sandra's main research interests relate to her PhD study, into identity work processes of professionals becoming managers, specifically in the context of personal predicaments related to vulnerability and, more generally, to leadership and management learning and development and work-based learning.
