The international dimension of business is more
important than ever. Bigger, more demanding and
competitive global markets have resulted in sweeping
changes. The Internet, Global Media and mobile
communications have opened up unprecedented
opportunities for international business.
As a result, business graduates that can demonstrate a strong international perspective are in high demand. Those that are additionally fluent in a major European language have a head-and shoulders head start over their peers.
This programme attracts students from a wide variety of
backgrounds and nationalities, which through the interactions that are built up and the learning that is developed significantly add to the international experience for students. This programme
has evolved from a well established and successful suite of programmes. The programme has been designed to meet the needs of international business students at the given point in, or during their studies.
The programme suite is made up of four different entry points. These are based on your existing qualifications and experiences. For example, if you decide initially that you want to study for a diploma and at a later stage you discover that you want to continue your studies to obtain a degree, then this programme is the right choice for you because it accommodates your ambitions very flexibly. Flexible entry and exit points are designed to suit the
student’s personal, financial and educational needs.
Specifically this programme is designed for the following types of applicants:
- UK students who want to gain knowledge and
experience of business management in the
international environment;
- Overseas/European applicants for whom English is
their second language; and,
- Overseas/European students who have studied
Business Management at another institution and can
enter the second year of the course
All students who have obtained sufficient credits have the
possibility to move on towards a University Degree for their final year.
Graduates from the international business programmes can expect to gain employment in a wide range of careers, both national and international.
Many enter management consultancy careers via graduate entry programmes and those studying languages have the opportunity to take advantage of the increasing number of careers encompassing the use of language skills.
Past students have also found successful careers in marketing, tourism, human resource management and procurement. The international placement year makes our students particularly employable.
