Course Information

Pathways

  • Human Resource Management and Development
  • Human Resource Development and Learning
  • MA in Human Resource Management and Development

Students on the programme will engage with principles and theories of Human Resource Management and Development. This includes frameworks for reviewing, reflecting, analysing and critiquing existing individual and organisational practices as well as providing knowledge and skills, enabling enhanced and more appropriate practices to be developed. Developing students as managers to maximise the performance of the organisations, whilst recognising people as the most important organisational resource, underpins the philosophy.

Students may obtain a Masters award by continuing their studies and undertaking a dissertation (MA in Human Resource Management and Development).

Participants will be required to select and apply appropriate research methods and to attend a dissertation preparation and research methods programme to facilitate this process.

Participants will be supported by a personal research supervisor, and the timescale for completion is normally two semesters part-time.
