Daniel Waine, a third year Travel and Tourism Management (TTM) - BA student was recently nominated for the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) 'Student of the Year award'.
Danny has just finished his year's work placement with Planet Holidays a tour operator in London.
Bridget Major, Programme Director for TTM said:
"I have just spent the last 5 days with Danny in Oman where he chose to spend his award at the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) industry conference with 400 very senior industry delegates.
In terms of age, Danny was 'junior' - probably on average 20 years younger than the others! He spoke suberbly - passionately and amusingly for 2 minutes at the end of the conference and clearly delighted delegates. He was an absolute credit to Newcastle Business School and has been inundated with potential job opportunites for when he graduates in a year's time."

Congratulations go to Daniel Waine, the winner of the Bella Rangel Callen Award for the ITT Student of the Year.
His tutor at Newcastle Business School nominated Danny for the prize because of his exceptional commitment to his studies and chosen industry - in fact, he was described as a "travel and tourism natural".
He's using his £500 prize to join ITT members networking in Oman. As an "exceptional, first class student", he definately looks set to be a future industry leader!

Daniel Waine,
Travel and Tourism Management - BA
